George Russell led from start to finish and won the Singapore Grand Prix for Mercedes.
He said, “Everything went perfectly today.”
Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri clashed early, turning McLaren’s title race into a storm.
Norris pushed past Piastri at turn three and took third behind Max Verstappen.
Piastri shouted on the radio, “Are we cool with Lando just barging me out of the way?”
The team replied they’d review it later.
Piastri fumed, “That’s not fair. If he has to avoid another car by hitting me, that’s a bad job.”
McLaren’s policy of “fair racing” came under fire again.
Earlier this season, Piastri had been ordered to give a place back to Norris at Monza.
Mercedes boss Toto Wolff warned such precedents cause chaos.
Piastri later told his engineer, “You do whatever you think is best.”
He sounded bitter and distant.
Norris defended his move.
He said, “It was hard but fair racing.”
He gained three points and now trails Piastri by 22.
Russell stayed calm up front, never losing control.
By lap 20 he had a strong lead, while Verstappen pitted.
Norris refused to let Piastri pit first.
Piastri’s stop was delayed by a stuck wheel.
Russell won by five seconds, taking sweet redemption after his 2023 crash.
He said, “This one feels amazing.”
Antonelli finished fifth.
Leclerc and Hamilton took sixth and seventh.
Alonso, Bearman, and Sainz completed the top ten.
Hamilton faced investigation for exceeding track limits.
