Barcelona have identified Harry Kane as their top target to replace Robert Lewandowski next summer, viewing the 32-year-old England captain as the perfect long-term successor to the 37-year-old striker.
Lewandowski’s contract expires in June, and Barcelona are reportedly willing to trigger a £57m release clause in Kane’s deal with Bayern Munich to bring him to Camp Nou.
Since joining Bayern from Tottenham in 2023 for £100m, Kane has scored 108 goals in 113 games, helping the club reclaim the Bundesliga title and ending his personal trophy drought.
Although Kane has expressed openness to staying at Bayern until his contract ends in 2027, the chance to join another European giant could tempt him — particularly with Marcus Rashford already at Barcelona on loan from Manchester United, with an option to buy for £30m.
Club president Joan Laporta has meanwhile ruled out a sensational Lionel Messi return, calling speculation about the Argentine’s comeback “unrealistic.”
